*Another* Beautiful Day

There was a calm ambience in Little One's room today.  Mom discovered that she LOVES to be sung to and enjoys having music play in her room.    Additionally, the doctor finished emptying her silo (the plastic bag you see in the pictures), so as soon as her intestines settle in some more, she is all set for surgery on either Friday or Monday.        

We are very thankful that Celia has continued to gain back some of the weight she initially lost.  She is up to 3 lbs 13 oz.  Everyone has noticed that she has been filling out - all you have to do is look at her cheeks to see it.     

We also found out that nurses have heard some bowel sounds.  This may mean that the healthy portions of her intestines are beginning to work.  We still don't know if she has enough healthy tissue, but we are excited to hear this news!

Thank you all for continually supporting Celia, Julya, Alex, and the rest of the family.  Your prayers, well-wishes, cards, and gifts are received with sincere gratitude.  Please continue to pray that Celia's intestines will regain their proper shape for functioning and that she will have enough healthy tissue.  Ask that her health remain uncompromised (no breathing problems, liver issues, etc) and that Julya and Alex will be blessed with wisdom and understanding that only God can provide.  They have many decisions to make, so please also pray that God gives them peace of mind.
