Saturday

Our little one has decided that she doesn't like the taste of the iron and vitamins mixed into her milk.  Can we really blame her?  Her gastroenterologist will be problem solving tomorrow!  The good news today is that she is enjoying and doing much better with breast feeding.  We have already heard it before, "she has opinion!"

As the days drag into the months, the Murillos are getting more and more familiar with the ins and outs of the NICU.  Julya has heard several families' stories after sharing a ride in the elevator, a laugh in the community room, or a cry by the coffee machine. Every room in the NICU has a story as intricate as Celia's and we are asking tonight that you would pray for the patients and families making a stay in the hospital or hospice, and even those who have been sent home today missing a loved one.  It is a strange thing how tragedy binds people together.  We are grateful for this phenomena because this is how we can bear each others burdens, lighten the load, and take the next breath.

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. -Galations 6:2

Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens.

Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.

When I consider your heavens,
    the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,

what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?[c]

You have made them[d] a little lower than the angels[e]
and crowned them[f] with glory and honor.

You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
you put everything under their[g] feet:

all flocks and herds,
and the animals of the wild,

the birds in the sky,
and the fish in the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.

Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
Psalm 8
