"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
- Philippians 4:4-7
Julya and Alex are packing up their things in the NICU tonight- Celia has been given the go ahead to be discharged! She will finally be going HOME tomorrow morning!! We couldn't be happier for the three of them as they get to experience a taste of normality as a family for the first time. Of course, Celia is still on some restrictions, given how tiny she still is. Visitors will be extremely limited and she will be "quarantined" to her bedroom until she is a bit bigger.
Please continue to pray for these three as they experience transition. Ask God that they will find comfort being at home; it's quite intimidating to go from being in a hospital with 24/7 surveillance to being the sole caretakers with only a simply baby monitor in hand. Please pray that Julya and Alex will have their minds at ease knowing that this is the natural process - the way things are ideally when you have a baby!
We thank God for Celia, the miracle of her healing, and the blessings He has poured on her throughout these past several weeks. We praise Him for providing Celia, Julya, and Alex with a large support system that have been incredible - friends, family, friends of friends and family, every church group that has prayed for them from a list, every family that has followed this blog, the hospitality staff, nurses, doctors, receptionists, specialized consultants and social workers...EVERYONE has helped more than we can ever thank them for. It will be especially hard to say good-bye to the hospital employees who have become like family to us, but hopefully Julya, Alex, and Celia will be able to keep up with them.
We love you all :).
