Ecclesiastes 12:1- Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, "I find no pleasure in them"-
Today I popped into the hospital to drop off some cupcakes for Julya and her nurses. I gave Julya a hug as we stood outside of the lobby and then Celia's surgeon walked by and said hi. He commented on how much we looked alike. We laughed and then I blurted out the stupidest question. Ever. "So have you ever seen these types of babies recover like Celia?" As soon as I uttered the question, I immediately regretted asking. I knew the answer, but needed to hear it again. "Yes, all of the time," he replied. But that wasn't the answer I was expecting. I followed with a confused, "Oh?" And Julya cut in with "-No she's wondering about the babies that have had the same initial prognosis as Celia. Have you seen these types of babies recover?" "Oh!" he replied, "No. Never." There it was. The answer I knew, but just had to hear again. How could I have forgotten so easily when it has only been one month? Celia is a miracle. I write this blog every other day and I have already become numb to God's everyday blessings- big and small! Julya put it best in her text to me tonite, "It certainly isn't luck."
...Remembrance in the Bible is much more than a mental exercise. Instead, it is a recognition that either leads to or results from an appropriate action. Let us remember God in our lives and in our worship, trusting that He will remember His great promises and bring us to a full understanding of His word and His will. -Doug Ward
Today we are thankful that Celia is inching closer to goal for her milk intake volume. Julya said she will be there tomorrow! She is almost at 2 oz of milk per feeding and she had 4 bottles today!
I am so thankful for Celia's life as a testimony of the miracle of God's healing touch.
